Regularly invited as a DJ at the WWF Festival (WorldWide) in Sète in France organized by the famous Gilles Peterson and the southern agency Freshly Cutz, where he plays alongside DJ CAM, his sidekick with whom he recently signed the compilation Wine4Melomanes in Jazz on one of most important independent labels Bbemusic based in London, for an outing planned in 2019.
Fred Beneix ex-organizer of the mythical evenings at L’Auguste of Toulouse 90 ‘s, offers a DJ mix Wine4Melomanes where his musical selection discoid soul Funk will juggle with vintage and modern sounds of high flying.

Creator in 1997 of the label of Fantômas and of the collective Zimpala whose pieces were compiled on Hotel Costes, Hed Kandi and many others, DJ Fred BNX was at the origin of the fabulous compilation vintage frenchy « Sexopolis » in 1997, sold worldwide and that has allowed to propel his DJ sets alongside artists such as The Négresses Vertes (35 dates world), St Germain, DJ Cam, Roni Size, Nickodemus… but also in several legendary international clubs and renowned festivals like the Transmusicales de Rennes, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Eskimo at Dour, Cannes Film Festival for Orange Telecom… With a collection of 15 000 vinyls sorted on the shutter traveling between jazz, Latin, Brazilian, soul, funk, disco and multiple rare beads discovered in the four corners of the world… Fred Beneix is capable of impressive and sharp musical eclecticism oscillating in a conjugation of melody and dance.

In his atypical and intelligent course, it is with the poetry of Baudelaire, which he founded in 2004, his concept Wine4Melomanes, mixing his passions: the music and the wine of the same vintage in unison.
A unique tasting adventure, allowing to discover the sensuality, the liveliness and the harmony of a wine, a beer or a spirit, by the olfaction and touch taste.

After holding an additional mention of Sommellerie in 2010, he embarked on the conception of a cuvée Wine4Melomanes with the Château la Croix du Merle in Saint Emilion Grand Cru for some vintages.
In parallel, he opened his website to flourish in the writing around the wines that he tasted on the main salons Vinusud, Millesime Bio, Vinexpo, primers Bordeaux, Grand tasting, Bettane & Dessauve, Millesima where he is invited as journalist blogger every year. It is connected since the magazine Sommeliers International based in Bordeaux for various publications.

Recently, he carried out with a winemaker creating a line of vegan wines, a new style of marketing signed by a musical flashcode Wine4melomanes for each cuvée. This specific concept, tabled in 2018, has a promising future.

Finally, he has just created a new wine tourism opportunity in his city, proposing to welcome to his typical home, fine tasters in search of innovative cultural dimension around his two mixed passions.
